SPLM SG Recieved SPLM Chairperson and Governor of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State

The SPLM Secretary General, Cde. Dr. Akol Paul Kordit, today received the SPLM Chairperson and Governor of Northern Bahr El Ghazal State, H.E. Cde. Charles Madut Akol. The meeting followed the successful conclusion of the recent SPLM National Leadership Summit held in Juba from July 2 to July 7, 2026.
Governor Madut expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and briefed the Secretary General on ongoing party activities in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State. He outlined plans to replicate the recent National Leadership Summit at the state level to communicate its core resolutions to members, affirming that SPLM ranks in Northern Bahr El Ghazal remain fully united across both state and grassroots levels.
Secretary General Dr. Akol commended Governor Madut for his proactive leadership and steadfast dedication to the party's vision. To build upon this momentum, the Secretary General directed the immediate launch of the state membership drive ahead of the upcoming party Congresses. Emphasizing the critical importance of election readiness, he strongly encouraged the Governor to continue strengthening the grassroots to guarantee a resounding victory for the SPLM.
