SPLM Secretary General Directs Preparations for UDA Delegation Visit

The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM), Secretary General Cde. Dr. Akol Paul Kordit, held a consultative meeting with the National Secretariat to discuss preparations for the reception of a high-level delegation from Kenya’s ruling party, the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) scheduled on July 19, 2026.
The Secretary General directed the Secretariat to ensure a warm welcome for their UDA counterparts. The central objective of the meeting between the two parties is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which is intended to bolster inter-party cooperation regarding economic collaboration, infrastructure development, and social programs within the framework of the East African Community (EAC).
The meeting underscored that this bilateral partnership coincides with South Sudan’s ongoing preparations for the general elections set for December. During the deliberations, Dr. Kordit emphasized SPLM's commitment to service delivery for the citizens of South Sudan, while simultaneously engaging with international and regional partners to secure a transparent trajectory toward the upcoming electoral process.
