SPLM MOBILIZES STRENGTH AND RESOURCES IN LANDMARK FUNDRAISING DRIVE FOR 2026 CAMPAIGN

SPLM Secretary General Cde. Akol Paul Kordit today presided over a high-level fundraising gathering organized by the National Secretariat’s Resource Mobilization Committee at SPLM House in Juba, bringing together party leadership, senior government officials, and key economic stakeholders to fortify party structures ahead of the 2026 general elections.

Held under the national theme, "Mobilizing our strength, building our party, securing our future," the strategic gathering underscored the ruling party’s commitment to organizational self-reliance, internal consolidation, and long-term political stability across South Sudan.

The landmark event drew overwhelming backing from the private sector, highlighted by the active participation of influential leaders from the South Sudan SPLM Business Community, alongside executive representatives from the Chamber of Commerce and leading captains of industry. Addressing the assembly, Cde. Akol Paul Kordit warmly applauded the steadfast commitment of these business comrades, emphasizing that the SPLM proudly relies on its homegrown business community to fund party activities, strengthen internal capacity, and drive national growth.

In a deeply moving reflection, Cde. Akol Paul Kordit drew a powerful parallel between today’s economic solidarity and the legendary sacrifice that birthed the nation. Decades ago, when the SPLM embarked on its historic liberation struggle, ordinary South Sudanese sustained the revolution through pure patriotism. Across every cattle camp and boma, families willingly contributed their cows, sorghum, yams, chickens, and humble produce to feed the frontline cadres, and most sacredly of all, surrendered their precious sons and daughters to secure our liberty.

That same heroic spirit of self-reliance must now animate our nation’s democratic journey. Having triumphantly delivered sovereign freedom and independence, the SPLM is now called upon to fulfill the next phase of its revolutionary mandate: securing sustainable prosperity for every South Sudanese citizen.
