August 25, 2026

In a vibrant display of unity, grassroots strength, and unshakeable loyalty, hundreds of members and supporters of the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) from Eastern Equatoria State arrived in high spirits at the SPLM National Secretariat in Juba today to officially register their party membership.

The historic delegation was warmly received by senior party leadership, led by the SPLM Secretary General, Cde. Dr. Akol Paul Kordit, alongside the SPLM Secretary for Political Affairs, Mobilization, and Organization, Cde. Amb. John Andurga, and the SPLM Acting Secretary for Culture, Information, and Communication, Cde. Amb. Jimmy Atilio.

Adorned in rich cultural attire and accompanied by the traditional rhythms of drums and horns, the crowd transformed the National Secretariat into a jubilant celebration of South Sudanese heritage. This dynamic turnout serves as a powerful testament to the deep-rooted connection between the SPLM and the grassroots populace, reaffirming that it remains a party of the people, for the people, and by the people. Furthermore, the massive mobilization highlights the party's absolute organizational readiness and preparedness for the upcoming general elections, proving once again that the SPLM is the premier and most popular political force in the nation.

The SPLM leadership extends an open invitation to all comrades and patriotic citizens who wish to join the party and contribute to the nation’s future. The gates of the SPLM are wide open for everyone ready to come together and build a prosperous nation rooted in the values of unity, equality, and progress. Now is the time to unite, turn the entire country red "the bold color of the mighty SPLM party" and rally behind our visionary Chairman, Cde. Salva Kiir Mayardit, as the first elected President of the Republic of South Sudan. SPLM OYE
