CES-SPLM LEADERSHIP SUMMIT: UNITING FOR ELECTORAL VICTORY AND MASS MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION

July 16, 2026

The SPLM leadership in Central Equatoria State held an Expanded Leadership Summit in Juba on July 14, 2026, to solidify party unity and strategize for the upcoming December 2026 general elections. Guided by directives from the SPLM Leadership Summit Resolution (2 to 7 July, 2026), the party is moving to translate recent national resolutions into concrete action at the state level. The summit emphasized a cohesive approach to electoral readiness, focusing on a unified leadership that has unanimously confirmed President Salva Kiir Mayardit as the SPLM Presidential Candidate.

To ensure victory, the party is prioritizing an aggressive campaign of mass mobilization and the recruitment of new members, supported by a comprehensive reorganization from the Boma to the National level to improve operational efficiency.

A key component of this effort is the deployment of new registration books across the states to establish a verified and credible membership register. First Deputy Chairman H.E. Prof. Cde. James Wani Igga provided foundational training on mobilization strategies and party discipline, ensuring that state leadership is fully equipped to execute these directives.

State Chairperson Cde. Emmanuel Adil Anthony reinforced these goals, reminding all members that success depends on strict adherence to the SPLM Code of Conduct, internal structural processes, and a collective commitment to victory. The summit brought together a broad coalition of the party's hierarchy, including the Liberation Council, parliamentary caucuses, executive members, and local leadership, to ensure a unified, state-wide mobilization effort.
