SPLM Deputy Chairpersons

The Deputy Chairpersons of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement support the Chairman in leading the Party in line with its guiding principles and core values of justice, liberty, and prosperity. They work within the framework of collective leadership, democratic practice, and accountability.

They assist the Chairman in guiding the Political Bureau and ensuring effective coordination of Party structures and organs. As members of the Political Bureau, they take part in policy direction, supervision of Party activities, and implementation of programmes in line with the vision and mission of the SPLM.

Working with other leadership organs, the Deputy Chairpersons contribute to strengthening internal cohesion, promoting unity, and ensuring that Party structures function democratically, transparently, and efficiently across all levels. They also support the execution of decisions, directives, and policies adopted by the Party.

In addition, they represent the Party in national and organizational duties when assigned, and support leadership responsibilities grounded in service, accountability, and responsiveness to the people, as emphasized in the SPLM Manifesto.

Through these responsibilities, the Deputy Chairpersons contribute to advancing the objectives of the SPLM, including promoting democratic governance, national unity, and the overall wellbeing of the people of South Sudan.
