The high-level SPLM Congress Organising Committee delegation to Upper Nile State has officially returned to Juba following a highly successful mission to conduct grassroots and state-level party elections.

Led by the Chairperson of the Committee, Cde. Tolio Odongi, the delegation departed on the 16th October 2026 and successfully executed a comprehensive series of SPLM state congresses and primaries, stretching from the boma level up to the state level.

Upon their safe return to the national capital, the committee met with the SPLM Secretary General, Cde. Dr. Akol Paul Kordit, to deliver a full briefing on the mission's outcomes. Addressing the press, Cde. Tolio Odongi expressed profound gratitude for the peaceful and cooperative environment encountered throughout the state.

“We went and came back without any incident. Upper Nile is peaceful, Upper Nile is a resourceful area," Cde. Odongi stated. "We are proud to be the first team to successfully conduct state congresses across the country. We have made Upper Nile red, and the whole country will follow. We are proud of our great party, the SPLM!"

As the pioneering team to complete this crucial phase of party mobilization, the Upper Nile delegation sets a strong benchmark for upcoming organizational milestones nationwide.
