September 8, 2026

SPLM Secretary General Cde. Dr. Akol Paul Kordit today convened a strategic, high-level meeting with the SPLM Resource Mobilization Committee at the National Secretariat to fast-track financial readiness and bolster grassroots reorganization across the country.

The high-profile consultative session was attended by SPLM Member of the Political Bureau Hon. Cde. Africano Monday, Minister of Presidential Affairs, alongside H.E. Cde. Daniel Badagbu Rimbasa, SPLM Chairperson and Governor of Western Equatoria State. The meeting centered on comprehensive progress reports presented by the Resource Mobilization Committee, which is ably chaired by Hon. Cde. Lam Tungwar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, and deputized by Hon. Cde. Paul Dhel Gum, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Transport. The committee also incorporates twenty committed SPLM cadres from the business community, including Cde. Bibi Ali, Cde. Kur Ajing, Cde. Obaj Olaw, Cde. Lado Lukak, and other dedicated comrades.

During the briefing, the Committee updated Hon. Cde. Africano Monday and the leadership of its remarkable progress, highlighting the triumphant fundraising campaigns successfully executed by the business community and the SPLM Business Women Community. Building on this powerful financial momentum, the committee announced that it is now actively preparing to host a major fundraising drive dedicated to SPLM Youth Leaders, as the party broadly reaches out to its millions of supporters and patriots to fully fund the upcoming nationwide reorganization of the movement.

Commending the committee's extraordinary commitment, the leadership underscored that self-reliance and grassroots financial backing remain the bedrock of the SPLM's historic mission. This robust resource mobilization drive marks a bold and decisive step toward empowering every vital organ of the party from women and youth to business pioneers, ensuring that the SPLM enters its next chapter stronger, fully unified, and completely equipped to champion progress, unity, and prosperity for the people of South Sudan.
