SPLM Resource Mobilization Committee Steps Up Campaign Preparations Ahead of Upcoming Elections
September 26, 2026
SPLM Secretary General Cde. Dr. Akol Paul Kordit chaired the meeting with the SPLM Resource Mobilization Committee to review current campaign preparedness and resource mobilization efforts, following a strategic briefing by the committee's Chairperson, Cde. Lam Tungwar, which announced major steps forward in its preparations for the upcoming national elections and party reorganization.
As part of its nationwide campaign readiness, the SPLM is actively preparing to commence it's Congresses and conduct of primaries across all states and counties that will lead to third National Convention. To power these initiatives, the committee has successfully coordinated cash collections and in-kind donations from individual supporters, business owners, and party stakeholders. Notable contributions include Cars, motorbikes, electronic divces designated for county-level mobility and upcoming vehicular support, alongside alternative forms of support.
The committee reiterated that its mandate structure is strictly limited to resource mobilization, leaving executive expenditure entirely to the SPLM party as the designated spending agency. The committee also expressed profound gratitude to H.E. Cde. Salva Kiir Mayardit the SPLM Chairman, alongside the party leadership, for endorsing their ongoing mobilization processes.
The SPLM is calling on all party supporters, business leaders, youth groups, women's leagues, and international cadres to come forward and support the upcoming electoral campaign. With a vast population to reach across the country, the party emphasizes that its strength lies directly in the backing of its supporters, and notes that pledges and contributions whether financial, in-kind, or logistical can be channeled directly through the Resource Mobilization Committee.
The resource mobilization committee led by Cde. Lam Tungwar, Cde. Dhel Gum, Cde. Bibi Ali, Cde. Ladu Lukak, Cde. Mayik Kornelio, Cde. Reech Ring and other members.
Concluding its updates, the committee extended sincere appreciation to the media for covering the briefing and playing a vital role in disseminating positive messages of peace, harmony, and unity. Special thanks were also directed to the SPLM Secretary General for his continuous, minute-by-minute support, as well as to all individuals, companies, and organizations that have contributed to the party's mission thus far. As the election scale is massive, the SPLM continues to invite broader participation to ensure the victorious re-election of the party and its flagbearer, General Salva Kiir Mayardit.
